Program Co-ordinator, Heart Health Resource Centre




The OPHA Heart Health Resource Centre (HHRC) has a mandate to support the Ontario Heart Health Program by enhancing the capacity of public health agencies and their community partners to implement comprehensive, multi risk factor, community-based heart health programs.

The OPHA Heart Health Resource Centre has an immediate opening for a full-time Program Co-ordinator.



The Program Co-ordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all training, coaching and consultation programs of the HHRC.



The successful candidate will have 5+ years progressive experience in planning and managing educational and training programs in a public/ community health setting. Post graduate education in health promotion or a related discipline in addition to adult education, training and development, and/or community development/ health promotion experience as applied to heart health/ chronic disease prevention are critical. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and computer), combined with strong project management experience, and the capacity to work effectively with diverse groups of people on a variety of initiatives, are essential for this position. Bilingualism (French/ English) would be a definite asset.



Location: Toronto, with periodic travel
