Crisis Support Worker/Psychotherapist, Muskoka-Parry Sound Community Mental Health Service

Full-time, $20.34-28.10/hour

Based out of the Parry Sound office, the successful candidate will provide intake and assessment services to those struggling with mental illness. The position involves the provision of crisis intervention services, hospital and community consultation and short-term counselling. Candidate will also provide longer-term counselling and group work for specific populations. Individuals with a particular interest, or experience in working with those who have both a mental illness and substance use problem (Concurrent Disorders) are invited to apply.


* A clinical degree (Master's or higher) and/or are a Registered Nurse with experience in the area of mental health

* Registration, membership or application for membership in the college appropriate to your discipline

* Experience in the provision of crisis services, telephone counselling or emergency response

* Experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy

* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

* Experience working with people who experience serious mental illness and/or substance use problems

* Ability to participate in an after hours on-call system

* Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment in a rural setting

* A valid driver's license and, a safe and reliable means of transportation

* Ability to work days/evenings (including weekends and statutory holidays)
