Health Canada is seeking to improve the way health is measured in order to inform policy development and to monitor changes in women's health status and outcomes in Canada. Toward this end, the Health Policy Research Program has recently posted on the website below a RFLOI on Women's Health Indicators. The purpose of this research is to develop and validate health indicators that reflect gender differences and diversity. Health Canada is seeking secondary Research on the following:
1. Socio-Cultural Roles and Responsibilities, and the Physical and Mental Health of Women
2. Social Exclusion and Women's Health
3. The Environment and Women's Health
4. Health Services and Women's Health
The deadline for submitting Letters of Intent is Monday, November 10, 2003.

The Health Policy Research Program, administered by the Research Management and Dissemination Division, Applied Research and Analysis Directorate, Information, Analysis and Connectivity Branch, funds research that contributes to an evidence base for Health Canada's policy decisions.
