Salary starts at $33.74/hr (65,793.00 per year) plus Northern Allowance of $4.39 per hour ($8,552.00 per year). Relocation assistance is available.



The Inuvik Regional Health and Social Services Authority (IRHSSA) administers all regional health and social services for a population of 10,000 in a region encompassing the northern half of the Northwest Territories. The IRHSSA offers acute, long-term, preventative and rehabilitative care, as well as elective and emergency surgery, through the Inuvik Regional Hospital, a 47-bed, accredited facility, which is also the referral centre for 12 communities in the Inuvik Region.



Located at the Inuvik Regional Hospital and reporting directly to the Director of Population Health/Strategic Initiatives, the incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of a Population Health Team of 11.5 FTEs and the supervision of an operational budget of approximately $300,000. Included in this team are the Community Health Representatives in the outlying communities of the region, the Regional Nutritionist, the Canadian Prenatal Nutritionist (CPNP) and the Diabetes Nurse Educator.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in health promotion, five years related employment experience with two years management/supervisory experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Effective communication and time-management skills are necessary to carry out the duties of this position.



A satisfactory criminal records check and medical clearance are also

required.
