Administrative Coordinator, National Eating Disorder Information Centre


The National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) is a national non-profit health promotion organization providing information and referrals on a wide range of food and weight issues to individuals, family members and professionals. We are looking for a Part-Time Administrative Coordinator to be a part of our exciting team.
The Administrative Coordinator exercises judgment or decision making to provide administrative services in support of professional personnel, including



Responsibilities

* Ensure the efficient operation of the office

* Maintain and modify electronic and paper information filing/retrieval systems methods and/or formats

* Perform routine budgetary and bookkeeping support functions

* Perform word processing/typing services

* Coordinate and fill orders for materials and information

* Perform minute/note taking at meetings

* Provide support with organizing meetings/events

* Maintaining written and/or electronic calendar/schedules

* Provide functional supervision to other administrative staff and volunteers

* Perform other related clerical activities

* Perform occasional reception responsibilities

* Perform other duties as required



Qualifications

* Minimum 1 year related administrative experience required

* Completion of a recognized post secondary secretarial arts program at the certificate level or equivalent is an asset

* Previous on-the-job computer/word processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required

* Good verbal and written communications skills

* Excellent organizational and time management skills

* Good interpersonal and customer service skills

* Ability to produce high quality work with attention to detail

* Ability to work well under pressure

* Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations

* Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and standards

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook is required

* Knowledge and experience working in Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher is an asset

* Strong understanding of and ability to complete Internet searches is required



17.90/hr + 4% in lieu of vacation

21 hours per week
