Research Project Coordinator, Koffler Institute of Pharmacy Management, University of Toronto

Project Title: A Collaborative Process for Integrating a Pharmacist into a Primary Health Care Group

Duties and Responsibilities

* coordinate project operations at 3 primary care sites

* liaise with project staff and primary care practice members/staff

* maintain research records

* conduct key informant interviews

* supervise extraction of data from medical records

* collect data on administrative staff time

* implement mail survey of practice patients

* manage and analyze qualitative and quantitative research data

* monitor project expenditures

* arrange meetings and prepare minutes

* prepare content for project website

* draft project reports
Funding: Primary Health Care Transition Fund and others

Job Specifications

* full time from January 2005 to February 2006

* based at the Koffler Institute of Pharmacy Management, University of


* able to travel (approximately monthly) to approximately 2 practice sites

* 1 hour by car from Toronto

Qualifications Sought

* Master's degree (or equivalent) and research experience, preferably

including qualitative research

* health care experience (e.g., nursing, heath care administration) and/or experience on interdisciplinary projects in a health care setting an asset

* strong organizational skills, including time management and multi-tasking

* strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written

* proficient with the following computer software: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, project management software


* $25-30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
