We wish to recruit an outstanding leader to oversee the Health Promotion Program at UBC. This role oversees a team of 7 staff responsible for developing and implementing a strategic business plan for the Health Promotion Program in the highly decentralized culture of the University. The Manager acts as a facilitator and works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to implement practical, progressive and sustainable strategies that promote the monitoring of health status, wellness, early intervention and reasonable accommodation of employees who are returning to work after illness or injury. The ideal candidate is a proven builder with a university degree and at least 5 years of progressive management experience in a relevant role in a large, complex organization with unionized and professional staff. Positive and proactive, the ideal candidate has knowledge of health and wellness, personal rehabilitation, return-to-work issues, a strong business background and the ability to develop systems to generate metrics that support decision-making.
