Program/Branch Development Manager, ROSE

The Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario (FWIO) is a not-for-profit charitable organization with affiliates around the world working with and for rural and urban women and their families. Through the network of Branches, we offer high quality education and support programs and services, advocate for social and economic change and work towards the personal growth and empowerment of all women.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of the ROSE Program and Branch Development will provide leadership, guidance and ongoing support to Branches across Ontario.


* with other key initiatives

* Act as a liaison between members, partners and FWIO Provincial Board

* Develop and manage current partnerships while seeking new opportunities

* Edit, develop and coordinate newsletter and ROSE Program Website

* Coordinate Regional Training Forums (province wide)

* Maintain administration practices, program assessments and evaluations

* Provide direction and guidance to members planning and/or implementing community programs

* Identify and recommend funding opportunities from foundations, government and individuals, and develop and submit proposals for funding

* Produce and distribute communication materials to promote the ROSE Program and WI (including annual report, newsletter, website, letters etc.)

* Take initiative in facilitating completion of tasks and in suggesting new projects and/or enhancements to current projects

* Continually source best practices and seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness

* Perform other duties, as required


* Proven organizational, leadership and managerial skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills, confidence, poise and professionalism

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation and public speaking skills

* Willingness and ability to grow with evolving job criteria and challenges

* Ability to self-manage workload--multi-tasking, adapting and shifting priorities as needed

* Excellent problem-solving, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills

* Ability to develop & maintain productive and professional relationships with partners, Board Directors, staff and members

* Experience organizing events and meetings

* Experience with fund raising, particularly grant accrual

* Demonstrated experience in Microsoft applications, email and Internet

* Must have own transportation and a valid drivers license

* Experience in non-profit and/or fundraising environment an asset
