Research and Policy Analyst, Peterborough Social Planning Council


The Peterborough Social Planning Council is seeking a permanent, full-time Research and Policy Analyst.



Reporting to the Executive Director, the Research and Policy Analyst will

* Design and conduct research and policy analysis projects related to current strategic priorities of the PSPC, including the Peterborough Profile

* Coordinate staff, students, and volunteers working on research and policy analysis projects

* Assist the Executive Director in identifying resources and projects, and with advice regarding the development of social planning, public education, and community development initiatives



The ideal candidate will possess

* A relevant university degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

* Knowledge of, and experience with, qualitative and quantitative research methods

* Highly developed writing skills and experience in generating research proposals and reports

* An ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment

* Competence with word processing and spreadsheet software including Quattro Pro, and/or Excel, SPSS, or equivalents

* Experience in coordinating staff, students and volunteers

* A commitment to positive social change



Salary and benefits



* The salary scale begins at $38,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
