Newbie Orientation 101: An Orientation to the Substance Abuse Prevention Field for New Professionals

Are
you new to the Substance Abuse Prevention Field? If so, we invite you
to an interactive orientation teleconference that will include an
overview of the substance abuse prevention field, recent developments
in Ontario, survival tips, common acronyms, and a web tour of helpful
resources to inform your work. The orientation session is free.
Participants must have simultaneous access to the Internet and a
telephone to participate.

Information
regarding background readings, PowerPoint presentation links, and
dial-in instructions will be emailed to you approximately three days
before the teleconference.

This teleconference is co-hosted by
the Alcohol Policy Network, the Association to Reduce Alcohol Promotion
in Ontario, Council on Drug Abuse, FOCUS Resource Centre, the Ontario
Drug Awareness Partnership, and Parent Action on Drugs.
