Bilingual Program Consultant (2), Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking 2 Bilingual Program Consultant positions:

  • Windsor (Windsor-Essex County), full-time permanent
  • London (Thames Valley area), part-time 1 year contract

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's leading
addiction and mental health teaching hospital. As a recognized Pan
American Health Organization and World Health Organization
Collaborating Centre providing first-class clinical care, research and
prevention, we are affiliated with the University of Toronto.

Utilizing well-honed collaboration, facilitation and negotiation skills
you will deal with programming in Windsor-Essex County or the Thames
Valley area. Capable of working effectively as a partner/leader with
community sources from a variety of organizations, you will make a
substantial contribution to the health of the community through the
implementation of interventions addressing alcohol, tobacco, other
drug, and mental health concerns. As, you will collaborate with
community coalitions, local addiction and mental health service
providers as well as other health/social service organizations in the
planning and ongoing development of a progressive network of treatment
and support programs. You will also interact with local planning and
coordinating bodies, organize and provide professional training,
implement community-based prevention and health promotion programs, and
offer consultation to service providers on matters of program/policy
development and implementation. Taking part in selected regional
projects and traveling occasionally Western Ontario round out your
functions. You have a Master's, preferably in Health Sciences, Social
Sciences or Adult Education, and extensive experience with
interventions for the prevention/treatment of addictions and mental
health problems, community development methods, and community needs
assessment processes. Fluently bilingual (English/French), you have
demonstrated communication and computer capabilities. A valid driver's
licence and access to a reliable vehicle are also prerequisites.
