The Prairie Region Health Promotion Research Centre (PRHPRC) is a
centre of excellence in health promotion research and practice. The
Centre was established in 1993 as one of six health promotion research
institutes across Canada. Located within the Department of Community
Health and Epidemiology, it continues to develop a range of initiatives
through strategic partnerships with communities, health related
organizations, policy makers on local, national and international
level. Following a renewal of its strategic directions, the Centre is
expanding to incorporate its new approaches.
An exciting opportunity exists for a postdoctoral fellow in population
health promotion. The successful applicant will develop a research
program in consultation with the Centre Director and stakeholders.

inform a greater understanding of the pathways between social and
environmental conditions and human health and a commitment to
population health promotion research.
The fellowship is at a rate of $40,000 per year for two years with the
possibility of extension for a third year. An additional $5,000
per year to fund research related activities attendance at conferences
and publication of papers will be made available.
