Health Promoter, Middlesex-London Health Unit

The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) has a new position for a Health
Promoter working in Family Health Services.  The Health Promoter
will participate in the planning, development, implementation,
monitoring, and evaluation of health promotion strategies for specific
programs in Family Health Services. The successful candidate will
utilize creative health promotion strategies to positively impact child
and family health.  Through population health principles the
position will promote strategies to change behaviour and to promote
assigned health topics including education/awareness, skill building,
advocacy, policy development, facilitation of community mobilization,
and creating a supportive environment.

Successful candidates will possess an honours degree in a health
related discipline and at least 1 year's experience working in the area
of health promotion. Requirements also include well-developed program
planning, development, and evaluation skills.  Strong project
management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills,
and good organizational skills are also required.  Candidates must
have a valid driver's license and own transportation.  The ability
