If you need financial assistance to attend the OTCC, please apply for a
bursary before registering for the conference as there may be a waiver
of registration fees and other related expenses. Eligible bursary
- those new to tobacco control;
- staff or volunteers from small community-based organizations;
- those who have not previously attended a national or provincial tobacco control conference; and
- tobacco control advocates, educators, researchers, community role
models, full-time students and others who work in the tobacco control
community but lack the funds to attend.

The OTCC 2006 seeks presentations and workshops that will provide
current scientific and practical information on tobacco control topics.
The conference is sub-titled Investing in Social Change and the
conference organizers will plan the program under three main program
tracks of protection from second-hand smoke, prevention of tobacco use,
and support for smoking cessation. Details, including
online submission form, are on the conference website.
Notification of acceptance of an abstract will be by August 1, 2006.
The Ontario Tobacco Control Conference--Investing in Social Change will
be held on December 4-6, 2006, at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel and
Conference Centre, Niagara Falls, Ontario. This conference is for
Ontario Tobacco Control workers and volunteers to celebrate how far
we've come in tobacco control, to present our findings, and to
