Dr. Cusimano has been the lead researcher in the study of the pattern
of traumatic injuries and associated costs between geographic areas,
communities and neighbourhoods.

Dr. Barbara Morrongiello
Director, Child Development Research Unit, University of  Guelph
Dr. Morrongiello's research includes issues that are relevant to
adolescent well-being (peer & parental influences on risk-taking)
and best  approaches  to  teaching young children about
injury risk and safety practices.

Frances Wdowczyk
Executive Director, The Student Life Education Company
The focus of the Student Life Education Company is the promotion of
healthy decisions on the use or non-use of alcohol and other related
health issues.  Real and perceived social norms have an influence
on the decision-making process.

Dr. Phil Groff
Director, Research & Evaluation, SMARTRISK
SMARTRISK has been involved in a number of advocacy efforts aimed at
policy change over the years, both directly and in support of other
community groups.  This workshop will provide both the theory of
advocacy for change, as well as practical exercises to help
participants build on their existing capacity in this area.
