Mental Health Worker, Anishnawbe Health Toronto

Anishnawbe Health Toronto (AHT), an accredited community health centre seeks a Mental Health Worker who will function as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary mental health team.  

 The successful applicant will have mental health assessment and treatment skills including familiarity with multi-disciplinary mental health treatment planning.  You will be responsible for initiating and maintaining case management for individuals within the context of the mental health unit's multi-disciplinary "Circle of Care".

The successful applicant will have a minimum of MSW with related mental health assessment and case management skills or BSW or College Diploma with 3 years direct service in the area of mental health.  Candidates will have an understanding and competent knowledge of health and other issues facing the Aboriginal community such as the effects of the post-colonial and residential school syndromes and preference to work with a multi-disciplinary team.  Aboriginal language skills considered an asset.
