New Report–The Economic Burden of Injury in Ontario

A new report from SMARTRISK reveals that injury costs Ontarians in
excess of $5.7 billion each year and takes the lives of more than 4,000
people. The Economic Burden of Injury in Ontario is the first report to
address the burden of both unintentional and intentional injury in
Ontario.  The report breaks down injuries by region and Local
Health Integration Network. Support for this project was provided by
the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, in partnership with the
Ministry of Health Promotion.
