1. World Health Organization

2. The Maytree Foundation

After two years with Maytree, Marjan Montazemi, Program Manager has moved to the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation to manage their Global Citizenship program. We wish her well in her new role.

Alejandra Bravo and Tina Edan are our two new managers of Leadership and Learning. Alejandra recently ran for Toronto City Council and has worked at City Hall and Queen's Park. She speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and French fluently. Tina was formerly the Manager of the Passages to Canada program at The Dominion Institute. In 2005 Tina was named as an emerging writer of Diaspora Dialogues and her poetry has been featured in TOK: Writing the New Toronto.

3. Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse

  • Christine Lyszczarz has accepted a new, permanent and fulltime position with the Heart & Stroke Foundation in in the London area.
  • Suzanne Schwenger has embarked upon a six month secondment with the Toronto Central LHIN as their Senior Community Engagement Consultant.
  • Krissa Fay has also taken a new position with the Toronto Central LHIN as Community Engagement Consultant.
  • Kim Hodgson has accepted a permanent, full time position with the Waterloo-Wellington LHIN as their Senior Community Engagement Consultant.

4. People on the Move from CharityVillage

  • Bill VanGorder retired after 16 years as president and CEO of the Lung Association of Nova Scotia and was replaced by Louis Brill (November 13, 2006).
  • The Lower Mainland Brain Injury Association announces the appointment of Gabrielle Martin as its new executive director. (November 20, 2006)
  • The board of directors of the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada announced that Nichola Lastella, CAE, has been named the national executive director, following the retirement of Andrea Salmon. (January 8, 2007)
  • The Change Foundation welcomes Cathy Fooks, one of Canada's top health policy researchers, as its new president and CEO. (January 15, 2007)

5. Heart Health

  • Andrea Bodkin joins the HHRC as Program Coordinator responsible for the Consultation Service and support to the OHHN. (November 15, 2005)
  • Pat Russell joined the Towards Evidence Informed Practise (TEIP) team at OPHA (November 13, 2005).
