Shade for Good Health and a Green City

The Shade Policy Committee of the Ultraviolet Radiation Working Group invites you to a one-day workshop ($30.00).

Shade, both natural and constructed, is essential to protect against cancer causing ultraviolet radiation and to achieve a cleaner and cooler urban environment. The City of Toronto is committed to addressing climate change, and shade provision will need to be an integral part of efforts to do so. Opportunities to advance shade advocacy efforts will be explored and developed in the one-day Shade for Good Health and a Green City workshop.
