RFP--Program Development Needs Assessment, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

Purpose

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Ontario Chapter is seeking proposals from program development and evaluation professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience to conduct a program development needs assessment that would explore strategies and approaches that the Ontario Chapter could implement to respond to the practical support needs associated with breast cancer treatment through a fund.

Scope

This program development needs assessment will enable the Ontario Chapter to better understand the current gaps in services and supports in this area, as well as possible models that could be implemented to provide support. One part of this process will be a review of a designated fund currently administered in one community in Ontario that provides financial support for breast cancer treatment. This needs assessment will also consider how such a fund could fit within the current healthcare system to ensure access to those who would most benefit from such support. The information gathered through this process will inform program development to better meet the needs of breast cancer patients.

Key phases

We are looking for responses from qualified candidates to carry out needs assessment activities, including

  1. An environmental scan of patient practical support programs currently available
  2. A healthcare coverage policy review
  3. A key informant interview process with key stakeholders
  4. Findings synthesis and analysis
