Position Summary

The Prevention Unit, Division of Preventive Oncology, Cancer Care Ontario oversees the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of cancer prevention programs. The Prevention Unit provides its planning and consultation services to professionals working in cancer prevention in Ontario, particularly Regional Cancer Centres, regional networks, public health departments and non-governmental organizations. A Bilingual Health Promotion Specialist is required to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluation cancer prevention and health promotion activities related to cancer risk factors, while working with multiple partners and stakeholders.  

Qualifications Include:  Masters degree in health promotion, public health education, psychology or related discipline and at least five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, knowledge of cancer prevention initiatives in Ontario.   Proficiency in both English and French is a requirement.
