Position Summary

The Prevention Unit, Division of Preventive Oncology, Cancer Care Ontario oversees the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of cancer prevention programs.  The Prevention Unit provides its planning and consultation services to professionals working in cancer prevention in Ontario, particularly Regional Cancer Centres, regional networks, public health departments and non-governmental organizations.  As a nutrition expert for the Prevention Unit and Cancer Care Ontario, the Health Education Nutritionist is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of programs and strategies on cancer and chronic disease prevention projects focused on diet, healthy weight and physical activity, while working with multiple partners and stakeholders.   

Qualifications Include:  Masters Degree from a recognized university with a major in nutrition or equivalent and at least two years of related experience, membership in the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
