"Have a ball!" Physical Activity and the Early Years

9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Based on popular demand, the Best Start Resource Centre is pleased to host another regional workshop on Physical Activity and the Early Years (a condensed version of our two-day sessions, not a "train-the-trainer").

This workshop will be of interest to program staff that work in or provide support to early learning and child care settings.  Based on Have a ball! A Toolkit for Physical Activity and the Early Years, this interactive workshop is designed to enable early years service providers to enhance physical activity programming for children aged 0-6. Presented by Sue Weststrate, Health Promotion Consultant and project lead for development of the Toolkit, there will be a mix of presentation and active, practical sessions. Participants should dress comfortably in layers and wear running shoes. Come prepared to share your great ideas and favourite resources, and ... have a ball!

The fee of $40 includes lunch and handouts. Registration is limited to 40 participants. Pre-registration is required online or by fax and will be available at
