Public Health Dietitian, Middlesex-London Health Unit

The Middlesex-London Health Unit has an exciting new opportunity for a full time Registered Dietitian.

The successful candidate will apply population health principles to plan, implement and evaluate community-based programs and services.  Other duties include: counseling by phone or in clinics, consultation and education to the public and professionals in the community and within the health unit, and working collaboratively with community members, professionals and organizations.  

Qualified candidates will have a 4-year recognized university program in foods and nutrition, as well as an accredited internship with a community nutrition focus.  Candidates must have current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, along with knowledge and skills in health promotion strategies.  Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills are necessary, as well as very good organizational skills and teamwork.  Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.  A valid Ontario driver's licence and use of a car is mandatory. The ability to communicate in French and other languages would be considered an asset.
