Project Manager, Canadian Health Network Mental Health Affiliate

7 month contract with possible extension

CHN is a national, non-profit, web-based health information service which provides the Canadian public with a unique web portal of bilingual resources on a wide variety of health related topics.

The Project Manager is responsible for  overall project management including administrative support to ensure that the project's deliverables are met; work collaboratively with CHN operations staff in Ottawa as well as other affiliated organizations to promote brand awareness, manage the collection and build the audience for CHN; support and liaise with all project partners, stakeholders, government officials and working groups linked to the National office of The Canadian Mental Health Association making sure their contributions and project timelines are being met; coordinate and chair teleconferences for the Mental Health; relationship building and regular promotion of the CHN Program through public presentations, attendance at health, education and business fairs, preparation of mass mailings and group e-mail distributions.  

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with proven ability to manage a broad workload; demonstrated successful experience in managing a multi-stakeholder project on time and within budget; excellent communication skills, both oral and written along with good public speaking and presentation skills; ability to work independently; advanced computer skills (MS Office and MS Outlook); web and content management skills; knowledge of communications and marketing; ability to work in both official languages (English and French) would be an asset. This position will be based in Ottawa.
