The 519 is a meeting place and focal point for diverse downtown Toronto communities. The 519 engages and serves both the local neighbourhood and the broader Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual/Transgendered communities and is a City-owned, community-driven centre.
As E.D. you will inspire and direct a staff of 50 in a dynamic environment with a strong Management Team. You will have 5 or more years senior management experience in the not-for-profit sector, preferably as an E.D. You will be comfortable with a value-driven, collegial, unionized and volunteer-based environment, working with a volunteer Board.
You will bring demonstrated leadership; commitment to & understanding of LGBT rights and issues & to ethno-cultural diversity; strength in relationship building with stakeholders, agencies, governments, and donors; commitment to social justice, equity, and community development and communications skills.
