Summer Student, South Riverdale Community Health Centre

Pending on approval of funding from Canada Summer Jobs Program, Service Canada, the South Riverdale Community Health Centre is looking for summer students (May - August 2008) for the following position.

Health Promotion Assistant

  1. Assist in the activities of the Health Centre
  2. Help with the delivery and promotion of summer projects, publicity campaigns and festivals
  3. Assist community groups in organizing and facilitating health and community projects
  4. Develop promotional materials

Qualifications:

  1. Be between 15-30 years of age
  2. Have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year, and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
  3. Be students in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program
  4. Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  5. Be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations
  6. Not hold another full-time (30 or more hours) summer job during their placement

Wages:  $ 8.75/ hour
