Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to reaching every Canadian affected by a brain tumour with support, education, and information and to funding brain tumour research.
The responsibilities of the Health Information Specialist position include leading the marketing and development of our information materials including Patient Resource Handbooks, Children's Storybooks, library and on-line resources.
Key to this role is the successful establishment and nurturing of relationships with the health care community, brain tumour patients, volunteers and the general public. This role also coordinates the grants-in-aid program, professional awards and research sponsorships.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Health Sciences, Health Promotion, Nursing or related health discipline
- Experience or demonstrated ability to learn workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working with volunteers and committees is preferred.
- French language skills desired
