Our client, the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network, is one of 14 Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) that have been established to plan, fund and coordinate health care services in Ontario. The Erie St. Clair LHIN services the regions of Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton and Windsor-Essex which includes over 650,000 people and supports an annual budget of over $850 million dollars for their local healthcare services.
As the Senior Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of issues and concerns and for identifying and implementing communications and engagement methods.
You will be responsible for: creating innovative opportunities for community participation and communications; planning, leading and facilitating community consultations (including the logistics and media relations); designing effective media campaigns; advising and coaching LHIN staff on appropriate communication methods; and working closely and liaising with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
The successful candidate will have post-secondary education or training in a communications, or public relations field. Demonstrated management experience in community outreach and facilitation; excellent project management skills; superior interpersonal and relationship management skills, supported by excellent written and oral communication skills.
