New Resource--Waiting for Baby: Pregnancy after Age 35

Best Start Resource Centre is pleased to release a new booklet for women aged 35 and over who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. The booklet is available in both French and English and is titled, "Waiting for Baby: Pregnancy after Age 35." This Best Start Resource Centre booklet was developed in collaboration with Halton Region Health Department. It is available in print and online at http://www.beststart.org/resources/rep_health/index.html.

This booklet is not intended to replace comprehensive prenatal health resources. Instead it provides additional information and links that are relevant to women who are planning a pregnancy or pregnant at age 35 or older. The content includes key messages regarding preconception, fertility, prenatal care, increased risks and ways to reduce the risks, signs of concern, prenatal screening tests, emotional health, pregnancy loss, transition to parenting, and reliable sources of information.
