Health Promoting Hospitals: Integrating Health Promotion into Hospitals and Health Services

Health Promoting Hospitals:
Integrating Health Promotion into Hospitals and Health Services

Novotel Toronto Centre, 45 The Esplanade, Toronto

Presented by Ontario Hospital Association www.oha.com/conferences

Why health promotion in hospitals and health services?

Changing public expectations, an increasing number of chronic patients requiring continuous support and new care models, and staff frequently being exposed to physical and emotional strains require hospitals to incorporate a health promotion focus as a key service for both patients and staff.

This conference will focus on ways that hospitals can improve health for staff, patients, and communities through organizational and cultural change. Join us as we focus on evidence-based, innovative models and networking opportunities for health promoting hospitals and health services of the future. Participants will have an opportunity to explore effective change management, the World Health Organization's Health Promoting Hospitals Model, as well as strategies and successes from hospital health promotion initiatives in Quebec and Ontario.

Confirmed speakers include:
Dr. Hanne Tonnesen, WHO collaborating Centre for Evidence-Based Health Promotion in Hospitals
Louis Cote, Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal
Dr. Susan Frampton, Planetree
Dr. Blake Poland, Department of Public Health Sciences, University of Toronto
Victoria Labalme, Victoria Labalme Communications, LLC
Pegeen Walsh, Ministry of Health Promotion
