Health Promotion Nurse, Ryerson University

Health Promotion Nurse

Working closely with the Coordinator, Health Centre in this 1-year contract, you will promote the health of the university's community, and participate in community development. This entails providing individual counselling to students, applying best practices to ensure the effective delivery of the Peer Health Promoter program, and mentoring peers in developing leadership, communication and advocacy skills. You are an RN with a Nursing degree and at least 3 years of related experience, involving public health or health promotion, program planning and evaluation, public speaking and supervision of students and individuals from a variety of disciplines. Excellent communication, analytical and client service skills are expected, as is a background preparing and presenting health-related presentations and workshops.
