The Maytree Foundation is seeking proposals for the design and development of a website for a new project called Cities of Migration. The Cities of Migration website will be a virtual hub and learning exchange that profiles successful practices in the integration of urban migrants in major receiving centres around the world, and promotes inter-city communication and information exchange. Ultimately, Cities of Migration aims to strengthen connections between key actors in integration and to advance the place of cities in migration policy.
The website will showcase a media-rich collection of "100 Good Ideas in Integration" organized across the five theme areas of Live, Work, Learn, Connect and Plan. Phase I of the Cities of Migration (CoM) project will release a beta website with the new CoM visual identity and look and feel in September 2008. Phase II development (iterative) includes tools and strategies to support the promotion of the project and related e-learning and social networking activities. The CoM website will be launched in December 2008.
Interested parties with fresh, smart ideas may contact Kim Turner at email@example.com to request the Cities of Migration RFP. The RFP closes on July 7.
