Hastings & Prince Edward Counties Health Unit requires a Public Health Dietitian
.4 FTE (2 days per week)
Maternity Leave up to one year
Reporting to the Director of Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention the incumbent will participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the healthy eating and healthy weights components of the Chronic Disease Prevention program to meet the requirements of the Mandatory Programs and Services Guidelines (1997).
A 4-year Bachelor Degree in Foods and Nutrition + a one year accredited dietetic internship which meets the requirements of the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Current certificate of competence from the College of Dietitions of Ontario. Demonstrated group facilitation, organization, interpersonal and communication skills. Self directed with ability to work with minimum supervision. A valid driver's license, insurance, use of a vehicle and willingness to travel within district as well as satisfactory police check is required.
Salary: $53,820-$61,948 (prorated)
Normal Working Hours: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.--Flexible working hours as required.
