Director, Knowledge Transfer and Program Communications (KTPC), Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health

The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) provides Canada's federal, provincial and territorial health care decision makers with credible, impartial advice and evidence-based information about the effectiveness and efficiency of drugs and other health technologies. For CADTH, the effective marketing and communication of their research to their stakeholders is of fundamental importance, and the Knowledge Exchange program acts as the bridge between CADTH and health care policy and decision makers.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Communications and Knowledge Exchange (CKE), the Director, KTPC is responsible for developing and delivering strategies and tools to increase the uptake and utilization of CADTH products and services. As Director you will lead a dedicated team of KT professionals and communications specialists in support of CADTH's three core programs (Health Technology Assessment, Common Drug Review and Canadian Optimal Medical Prescribing and Utilization Service), ensuring sound connections between stakeholder requirements and CADTH outputs.

Recognizing Canada's multi stakeholder platform you will oversee the development of stakeholder engagement strategies and messages to communicate CADTH's research products and services to key audiences. You will oversee both large-scale and targeted communications efforts, ensuring widespread knowledge of CADTH's outputs within the appropriate communities of health-care decision makers across the country.

You have demonstrated skills in the communication and dissemination of research knowledge to diverse stakeholder groups. You have a strong client service orientation and possess the ability to build working relationships that address client and stakeholder needs. You are a mentor and facilitator willing to work with other teams and your staff to get the job done.  Your education and experience in a clinical health discipline,  health sciences, communication, business, government or public relations has exposed you to a variety of different challenges, and disparate parts of the health system.
