The Middlesex-London Health Unit has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager of the Vaccine Preventable Disease Team. Reporting to the Associate Medical Officer of Health, the successful candidate will manage the Vaccine Preventable Disease team whose responsibility is to work collaboratively with individuals, schools, and health care providers to provide and promote vaccinations and prevent vaccine preventable diseases. Responsibilities include planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Vaccine Preventable Disease Program, including vaccine administration through scheduled clinics at the Health Unit, schools, in the community, and in the event of an emergency.
Requirements include current CNO registration as a Registered Nurse, a B.Sc.N, and a Masters degree in a Health or related discipline. Previous management experience is required. Experience in public health and knowledge of communicable diseases and/or vaccines are considered assets. Requirements also include good computer skills, excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills. The ability to communicate in French or other languages would be considered an asset.
