Highlight your calendars! This year SummerActive is being held between May 11 and June 22, 2001. This year's program promises to be filled with lots of exciting events and prizes! In Ontario, SummerActive 2001 is being run by Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO).

There are lots of prizes to win! Individuals are eligible for one of six grand prizes and one of five daily prizes presented through the Sun/Footlocker National Contest. SummerActive leaders will be winners too! By registering SummerActive events on-line, leaders and event organizers qualify for one of three weekly prizes!



Lots of great free materials are available to Ontario Leaders to help promote SummerActive in their communities. Host a local event or encourage residents of your community to get active! Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Chapter: 2001 Community Education Grant Competition Deadline Extended

The Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Chapter is pleased to announce its Spring 2001 Community Education Grant competition. To date, forty-eight grants totaling $920,000 have been awarded to community-based, breast cancer education projects in Ontario.



The Spring 2001 Grant Application Form and Guidelines are available on the CBCF website by going to http://www.cbcf.org/Ontario/insidepage_criteria.html.
