In April and May of 2003, CLICK4HP contributors discussed their favourite health promotion texts. We've rounded up their recommendations and refer you to the listserv archives for their detailed and personal comments: http://listserv.yorku.ca/archives/click4hp.html; search for "favourite hp text." We also suggest visiting Reviews of Health Promotion and Education Online, http://www.rhpeo.org/, for their section "My five favorite resources in health promotion/health education" and the Definitions and Key Papers section of the Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse's health promotion hotlinks at http://www.opc.on.ca/english/our_programs/hlth_promo/resources/hlth_prom....
This week we have a different take on our annual year in review article. Larry Hershfield writes about looking forward, long-term thinking, and the Library of the Future: "Imagine reviewing, at reasonable, long-term intervals, the promises, predictions, and assurances we hear every day from politicians, businessmen, environmentalists, and, yes, health promoters. Imagine being accountable for your predictions." And in our resources message, we present a round up of favourite health promotion texts that appeared in a CLICK4HP discussion last year.
