This fall, Planned Parenthood Toronto (PPT) is offering Anti-Homophobia training for service providers through our Training Centre. This Training workshop is designed for staff or volunteers who work in educational, recreational, residential, health and community settings.

The Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre is committed to employment equity. Under the direction of the Counselling Program Team Leader, the Health Promoter will work actively with young women & girls 14 & up in high schools across the city of Ottawa to provide one to one support & counselling. She will also work with local community health centres to design and deliver culturally appropriate support groups. This position will be paid $24.56 per hour for 20 hours per week for 47 weeks.

The Diabetes Education Community Network of East Toronto’s mandate is to provide diabetes self-management supports and services to adults with type 2 diabetes in East Toronto.   One of DEC NET’s priority populations is a large Bangladeshi-Canadian community in the Crescent Town/Victoria Village Neighbourhood.  Following a needs assessment, DEC NET embarked on a Peer Outreach initiative – the aim of which is the creation and implementation of training manual and toolkit for conducting diabetes peer outreach in this community.
