The South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), is one of 14 local organizations that have been created in Ontario to plan, coordinate and fund local health services, including hospitals, community care access centres (CCACs), long-term care homes, community health centres (CHCs), community support service agencies, and mental health and addictions agencies. The office of the South West LHIN is located in London, Ontario.

Population Data BC Launches a New On-line Certificate Program in Population Health Data Analysis

Population Data BC is a multi-university, data and education resource facilitating interdisciplinary research and teaching on the determinant of human health, well-being and development.

This fall Population Data BC in partnership with the Division of Continuing Studies at the University of Victoria, is launching a new on-line Professional Specialization Certificate in Population Health Data Analysis.  The unique program offers researchers and health professionals an opportunity to learn a diverse set of skills from multiple disciplines.

Developing an Inventory of Ontario Public Health Activities and Peer Expertise, Public Health Ontario

Sections: 

Public health professionals frequently express the need to easily identify who is doing what in public health and to find colleagues with expertise in specific content areas.  A database of this information has the potential to strengthen public health activities by facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Call for Proposals--Rainbow Health Ontario Second Provincial Conference

Rainbow Health Ontario (RHO) is holding its second provincial conference addressing the health and wellness needs of our lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities in Ontario. The conference will be held in Ottawa in March 2012.

RHO is currently inviting proposals which present new information or insight into LGBT health and wellness issues, with a particular emphasis on the various stages of LGBT life.

To be a part of this unique event, please submit your proposal in either English or French by September 16th, 2011.
