The City of Ottawa is looking to fill two temporary Public Health Nurse positions to work with the Multicultural Health program. Responsibilities include working in partnership with immigrant agencies to provide health education and promote healthy lifestyles among ethno-cultural communities. You will develop and disseminate health resources and promote community capacity through consultation, community assessment, partnership building and participation in activities that increase access to health services. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing, be eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have demonstrated experience in providing services to the multicultural community. Cultural competency and ability to communicate in a major non-official language would be considered strong assets.
