OHPE Bulletin #189.2 - New and Interesting Resources
January 5, 2001
compiled by Alison Stirling, OPC
Welcome to the first OHPE of 2001. We hope you had a lovely holiday.
This week's feature is contributed by Alison Stirling and asks what Canadians, and particularly health promoters, do about money and giving to our communities. It is a compilation of some articles, parts of the LETS story from Inspiring Change: Healthy Cities and Communities in Ontario (a new book available from the Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition), and commentaries on money, giving, charity and socially responsible investment and actions.
Alison has also compiled 189.2, highlighting some new and interesting resources (not connected to 189.1).
If you haven't had a chance to read OHPE 188.1 yet, here is a brief reminder that we are always on the lookout for feature writers. In
particular, we are looking for articles on leisure, income and social status, personal health practices and coping skills, family/home,
visible minority, social support networks, aboriginal people, cancer, enforcement/justice, and health reform. For full submission guidelines, or with any questions or suggestions, please email [email protected].
