International Drug Policy: Making the NGO Voice Heard

1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

This is a critical time in International Drug Policy. In March 2009 the Commission on Narcotic Drugs will be meeting to review progress of international drug policy over the last 10 years and set the agenda for the next 10 years. Non-governmental organizations have been working to ensure that their voice is part of this process through an initiative called Beyond 2008. This initiative has included consultations in all areas of the globe as well as an international meeting of NGOs in Vienna in July 2008 at which an historic Declaration and Resolutions were agreed upon.

Come learn more about what's happening in international drug policy.
Find out how you can advocate for the voice of NGOs.
