Plain English Extreme Makeover Contest

October 5 – December 31, 2009

Is your organization’s information causing death by med-speak?

Time to enter for a Plain English Extreme Makeover — It’s your 911 for enhancing understanding

In today’s world of information overload, Plain English is your remedy for ensuring your target groups understand and are receptive to your written information, saving time, money and even lives. Whether your target group is the public, specific end-users, employees, or a professional group—low or high literacy—Plain English makes sure they can easily find the information they need, understand what they read, and use the information to meet their needs.

We’re looking for the “best of the worst” in terms of any of your organization’s information you think needs a Plain English Makeover. We will be awarding four regional winners in January 2010: Toronto, Waterloo region, National Capital Region, and the rest of Canada.

Simply submit your information confidentially online at http://www.clearlanguageatwork.com/contest or via fax at 1-866-326-7783

Each winner receives a Plain English Extreme Makeover: we will re-write your information using established Plain English principles to enhance understanding and engage your target group (January 2010).

All entries receive a high-level complimentary Plain English and Clear Design Analysis Report (January 2010).
