The South West LHIN is home to almost one million people and covers an eight county area from Long Point to the Bruce Peninsula. The office of the South West LHIN is located in London, Ontario.

Reporting to Business Manager, the Accounting Analyst will be accountable for the financial functions related to the internal operations of the South West LHIN.

You will be responsible for the day to day financial operations including Accounts Payable, Account and Bank Reconciliations, monitoring expenditures and cash flows against operational budget, and ensuring appropriate internal controls. You will also prepare regular financial statements and other status reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Senior Management Team. You will assume the responsibility for the year end audit, preparing year end financial statements and managing the LHIN’s relationship with the external auditors.

Qualifications - The successful candidate will have a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, etc). You must have solid experience in managing accounting and budgeting functions of a mid-sized organization, preferably in a public service setting. Comprehensive experience in performing financial analysis and critical evaluations of complex financial issues is required. You must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to build effective internal working relationships with the CEO, Senior Directors, staff, and Board of Directors, as well as externally with the Ministry, LHIN Shared Services Office and the auditors. Experience with SAP is an asset.
