CNHE Conference Abstract Deadline Extended

Deadline June 21, 2010

The CNHE Executive is proud to announce its FIRST national conference, to be held in conjunction with the Aboriginal Nurses Association of Canada, the Canadian Men in Nursing Group, and the Diabetes Nursing Interest Group of the RNAO. The conference is set for October 25-27, 2010 at the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites in Toronto, ON.

This year is special in many ways, as A.N.A.C. is proudly celebrating its 35th anniversary and 2010 is also the International Year of the Nurse. The CNHE Executive can think of no better way to showcase the dedication and contributions of Canadian nurses than collaborating with our diverse partners to make this conference a success! The theme for the 2010 joint national conference is:

Linking Our Knowledge through Diverse Interests

Toronto, Ontario
October 25-27, 2010

The conference link, including the registration form, conference poster, call for abstracts and registration information is available here: http://anac.on.ca/conferences.php and is also attached below. CNHE members, who have submitted their 2010-2011 membership form (attached below), will be eligible for travel, conference and accommodation discounts. This information is now posted on the ANAC website: www.anac.on.ca. Abstract topics include the following:

  • Environmental Impact on Health
  • Using Traditional Knowledge for Health and/or the Environment
  • The future of nursing education: Linking environmental knowledge with theory and practice
  • Setting the political agenda: Nursing challenges and opportunities in environmental health

Abstract submissions are encouraged from both students and professionals alike, as long as they comply with the abstract submission guidelines (see the abstract infosheet on the ANAC website).

The abstract submission deadline is extended to June 21, 2010.
