Smoke-Free Ontario Coordinator

The Public Health & Emergency Services Department is seeking a Smoke-Free Ontario Coordinator to lead Smoke-Free funded programs and provide coordination and integration of tobacco control activities with other relevant public health unit programs including: injury prevention, chronic disease/heart health initiatives, substance abuse programs, and prevention of Low Birth Weight babies.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree in a health related area (needs to have included health promotion courses) from a recognized institution is required (Masters Degree is preferred); experience in project coordination/supervision is required; recent public health experience is an asset; excellent working skills/knowledge of current computer applications; excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with strong facilitation, project management and organizational skills; priority setting, time management and creative problem solving; a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with insurance is a requirement; Tobacco Enforcement Officer designation (or willingness to be trained) .
