Members of the Canadian, U.S., and international leisure studies communities are invited to submit up to two abstracts of papers or posters to be presented at the Thirteenth Canadian Congress on Leisure Research. The conference will be held in St. Catharines, Ontario from May 18 to 21, 2011. The 2011 conference theme is "An Evolving Tapestry: Weaving Together the Threads of Leisure."
Abstracts must be submitted no later than November 1, 2010.
Research on leisure covers a wide range, from management of community recreation services to major international tourism destinations to leisure based interventions for disadvantaged individuals. These topical areas, or threads, guide practice, research, pedagogy, and policy, and can be approached from a number of disciplines and theoretical orientations. The purpose of CCLR 13 is to bring together scholars who are interested in leisure from a variety of perspectives and academic fields.
