Posting Notice: Cancer Care Ontario RFP2010-49

Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) is the provincial agency responsible for continually improving cancer services. As the government’s cancer advisor, Cancer Care Ontario directs and oversees more than $600 million public health care dollars to hospitals and other cancer care providers to deliver high quality, timely cancer services.

The Program Training and Consultation Centre (PTCC) at CCO is the lead resource centre of the Smoke-Free Ontario (SFO) Strategy, responsible for leading the development, implementation and coordination of tobacco control capacity building and knowledge exchange programs and services in support of the Smoke Free Ontario (SFO) Strategy.

Requirement: PTCC requires one or more external service providers to assist PTCC resource staff in developing and delivering workshops and webinars on Brief Smoking Cessation Counseling (BCC) and Smoking Cessation in Pregnancy to public health professionals across Ontario. The workshops will take place in a variety of locations around the Province of Ontario and will be delivered on an as required basis.

Period of Proposed Contract: The agreement will not extend beyond March 31, 2011

Method of Procurement: CCO is conducting an open competition to select its service provider(s).
