Join the Ministry of Health Promotion and be an active player in providing health promotion expertise, consultative advice, research analysis and support in the implementation and evaluation of comprehensive health promotion policies, programs and services to advance the health promotion agenda across Ontario. As a member of the tobacco and chronic disease section in one of these two opportunities, you will be responsible for providing program support for the planning, delivery and implementation of strategies for health promotion programs delivered by community and provincial partners. You will: conduct the research, monitoring, analysis, assessment and reporting of a broad range of health promotion issues and trends; foster strong liaison and partner development with diverse stakeholders, and participate on projects and/or work teams. As a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others, your communication and presentation skills will be utilized in preparing and presenting research and analytical findings, writing reports and briefing papers, and assisting in the development of ministry operational plans that support ministry programs and health promotion strategic initiatives in Ontario.

Location: 393 University Avenue, Toronto.

Qualifications: proven knowledge of, and skills in program implementation, delivery and community capacity-building within a high-profile, complex, multi-stakeholder environment; knowledge of health promotion principles and methods, and understanding of chronic disease prevention, tobacco control and community development; skills in policy research and assessment tools, program design and operational planning for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ministry programs and health promotion strategic initiatives; demonstrated project leadership and relationship management skills to conduct consultations and maintain effective relations with a diverse stakeholder community; proven communication skills to prepare operational plans, reports and various communications materials.

Salary range: $64,664 - $80,596
